A Collaboration with **Barehands: Vol 1: Asian Artists Residency Project Featuring Anees Maani at Galeri Chandan

Jordanian sculptor Anees Maani presented his third solo show in Malaysia last Friday night at our space. “Lines” was a fashioning of various natural materials in the form of wood and stone turned into sculpture.

The night saw a gathering of art students, family, friends, who came to give their support and also artists from Jordan, Japan, Phillipines, Indonesia, and Australia, who are consequently here in Malaysia for the opening of Barehands: Vol 1: Asian Artists Residency Project which will be held at the National Visual Art Gallery Kuala Lumpur from 16 May- 16 July 2017 .

We present to you “Lines”; a collection of what a good range of machines, tools , a vast experience in woodworking and the imagination on forms in nature and their evolution in searching for a resemblance to something we know.

Of people, of different environments and areas on earth.

“Lines” will be showcased from 12 May – 4 June 2017 at our space daily (Mon – Fri ) from 10.30am – 7pm and by appointment only on Sat and Sun. We are closed on Public Holidays.
