The Cosmic Playground at the Arizona Science Center

The Arizona Science Center is adding a new play space for families to enjoy this winter. The Cosmic Playground will be open for the public through January 13 and features three different space-themed play structures. Each structure features an array of cosmic lights and sounds, including a black hole experience. Guests can also jump from planet to planet in the SPUN spinning chairs or play in the Milky Way Ball Pit. The playground also features plenty of spots for taking selfies.

Cosmic Playground also features daily demonstrations and activities. Throughout the day, members of the Arizona Science Center’s Blue Crew will staff the Aspiring Astronaut Station, bringing space-related concepts to life. Visitors should be sure to wear clean socks and shoes, although the Blue Crew will be selling shoes for $1 while supplies last. The playground is ADA-accessible, and visitors are welcome to wear wheelchairs or walkers.
